My Story
Shane Nicholls is a registered physiotherapist with a unique blend of neuroscience expertise and high-performance sport experience. He completed his Bachelor of Science at the University of Winnipeg, followed by a Master of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Calgary, and later a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta.
Before his career in rehabilitation, Shane competed internationally as a professional tennis player, an experience that continues to shape his approach to physiotherapy today. His athletic background, combined with his neuroscience training, gives him a deep understanding of movement, recovery, and performance from both a physiological and neurological perspective.
Shane’s approach is active, patient-centered, and evidence-based, emphasizing individualized treatment programs that blend manual therapy, targeted exercise, education, and neuro-driven rehabilitation techniques. He works with a broad range of clients from individuals recovering from neurological injuries to athletes optimizing their performance or returning from injury.
He has a strong clinical interest in neurological rehabilitation, sports physiotherapy, and chronic pain management, integrating modern neuroscience research into every treatment plan. Shane believes the most effective therapy doesn’t just treat symptoms, but it helps people understand their bodies and build confidence through movement.
