FAQs
If you need any further assistance, please contact us for more information!
Do you have a clinic, or do you come to me?
We’re a mobile and virtual physiotherapy service. The sessions will happen in the comfort of your own home or online at your convenience.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. Physiotherapists are primary healthcare providers in Alberta. Some insurers may still ask for a physician note for reimbursement. Please check your plan for more information!
Do you direct-bill insurance?
At the moment, N² Rehab does not offer direct billing, but this feature is coming soon. For now, clients pay at the time of service, and you’ll receive a detailed receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
When are appointments available?
We offer flexible scheduling, including weekdays and weekends; if you need something outside typical hours, ask and we’ll try to accommodate.
What areas do you serve?
Calgary and nearby communities (case-by-case for short distances outside city limits; a travel surcharge may apply).
What should I expect at my first visit?
A comprehensive movement and/or neurological assessment, goal-setting, and a clear treatment plan. A thorough home assessment will be done to ensure everything is needed for home physio. We’ll also start appropriate exercises on day one.
Do you accept WCB/AHS or bill MVA directly?
We don’t take WCB claims, and we don’t bill MVA insurers under the DTPR schedule. You can still see us privately or through extended benefits and then submit for reimbursement. Our services are private (non-AHS).
Do I need to have any equipment at home?
No, we bring what’s needed (including a portable bed if required). Simple items like resistance bands are helpful but not essential.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Common credit cards (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, etc.) are accepted. We also accept e-transfer as well.
Why might you ask for a credit card on file?
To secure your booking and streamline billing for any private-pay amounts or late-cancel/no-show fees. Card data is stored securely in our practice software.
What is your cancellation policy?
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or failure to attend, will incur the full session fee. Please allow for a 15-minute window before or after your scheduled appointment time, as your practitioner may be early or delayed due to traffic or travel between clients Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. By booking, you acknowledge and agree to these policies. Your personal health information is collected and stored securely in compliance with Alberta’s Health Information Act (HIA) and the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Information will only be used for your care and will not be shared without your consent, except when required by law.
Can you see me in a hospital or retirement home?
Often yes, site approval may be required by the facility; some locations (e.g., acute hospitals) may add parking surcharges. An agreement by the manager must be signed and approved prior to first appointment.
What should I wear/prepare for a home visit?
Wear comfortable, flexible clothing and clear a small area for movement/exercises. If you have pets, please secure them before the session.
What makes N² Rehab different from other physiotherapy clinics?
At N² Rehab, we combine neuroscience and physiotherapy to help you move, recover, and perform better. Every program is evidence-based and tailored to how your brain and body actually learn movement not just symptom relief. Please reach out directly for any further questions!
